Themed sculpture from 0.5 to 12 m, moulded in FRP over a galvanized steel armature and finished with UV-stable gelcoat and polyurethane topcoat. Any theme, any colour, engineered for local wind load and supplied with foundation details.

Theming is what separates a water park that guests photograph from one they merely visit. Sculpture does most of that work, because it is the element that appears in every guest photo and every piece of marketing. It is also the cheapest way to make an existing park look new: replacing faded figures and repainting entrance features changes the guest's first impression for a fraction of the cost of a new ride.
Where Sculpture Earns Its Place
Four positions carry almost all of the value. The entrance gateway establishes the theme before guests pay. The children's water play area needs characters at child height, close enough to touch. Pool edges and island features need vertical elements that read from across the water. And ride plazas need a single large piece that acts as a meeting point, which reduces lost-child incidents because families have an obvious place to regroup.
Materials and Build
Figures are hand-sculpted in clay or modelled digitally, then moulded and laid up in glass-reinforced polyester over a hot-dip galvanized steel armature. The armature carries the structural load and is designed for the local wind speed; the FRP skin is a shell, not a structure, and should never be the only thing holding a large figure up. Internal fixing plates are stainless so that a coastal site does not corrode the connection from the inside, where it cannot be seen.
Finish and Colour Life
Finish is the difference between sculpture that looks new for two seasons and sculpture that looks new for ten. The base is a UV-stabilised gelcoat, followed by a polyurethane topcoat with UV absorbers; colours are matched to RAL or to a supplied reference and sampled before full production. For high-wear areas such as hand-contact points on children's figures, a clear anti-graffiti lacquer is added so that sunscreen and sun cream can be washed off without dulling the surface. Expected colour fastness outdoors in a subtropical climate is eight years or more.
Siting, Lighting and Water
Sculpture placed in or beside water needs two extra provisions. The foundation must be designed for buoyancy and scour if the piece sits in a pool or at a waterline, and any lighting must be IP68 with a sealed cable route that can be drained. Integrated lighting is worth specifying at the mould stage rather than retrofitting, because recesses for fixtures and cable conduits can be built into the armature instead of drilled later. For features that double as play elements, all edges are rounded and the surface is specified non-slip.
Delivery and Installation
Large figures are split into transportable sections with concealed bolted joints, shipped in cradles and assembled on site by a small crew. Haisan supplies the foundation drawing, anchor template, lifting points and a touch-up kit matched to the production colour, so that a local contractor can install without a specialist sculptor on site. Seasonal inspection is visual: check the joint sealant, the anchor bolts and any area where water can stand.
