Lazy River

A ring-shaped drift river that circles the whole park. Guests float in a ring at their own pace past rockwork, sculpted features, tunnels and tropical planting - the connective tissue of a water park, and its most restful attraction.

  • ● Water Depth: approximately 0.8 m
  • ● Pusher Machine: 18.5 kW or 37 kW, depending on channel length and required flow
  • ● Layout: ring-shaped channel circulating the water park
  • ● Landscape Elements: rockwork, sculptures, black holes, whirlpools, tropical planting, sound effects

The restful heart of the park - and the easiest way to see it.

  • Circles the Whole Park

one channel connecting every zone, with no walking required

  • 0.8 m Depth

shallow enough for the full guest spectrum, from children to grandparents

rockwork, sculptures, tunnels, whirlpools and planting along the route

  • Even, Gentle Current

18.5 or 37 kW pushers hold a consistent floating speed

The Lazy River - listed in Haisan's range as the Drifting River - is a ring-shaped river that winds around the perimeter of a water park. It functions as both an attraction and a piece of circulation infrastructure: because it circles the whole site, it lets guests move between areas without walking, while delivering a continuous, unhurried ride experience along the way.

How It Works

Guests float in an inner ring and are carried along the channel at a gentle, steady pace. The landscape along the route is a designed part of the attraction: abundant elements can be added along the river, including strange rocks, sculptures and sculpted shapes, black holes, whirlpools, tropical rainforest planting, animal sound effects and flowering gardens. Riders watch the park unfold around them as they drift, releasing pressure in the flowing water and soothing both body and mind. The ride is deliberately undemanding - it is the attraction guests use to rest between intense slides and to see parts of the park they would otherwise walk past.

Configuration and Layout

The channel runs at a water depth of about 0.8 metres and is driven by pusher machines specified at 18.5 kW or 37 kW according to the channel length and flow rate required. The pumping system is designed to maintain a consistent current throughout the circuit so that floating speed stays even, and because the depth is shallow and the current gentle, the Lazy River is usable by the full guest spectrum, from children accompanied by adults to older visitors.

Engineering and Materials

Lazy River is engineered as a complete water-retaining structure, combining a reinforced concrete or steel pool shell, waterproofing, balance tanks, overflow galleries and a closed-loop water treatment system. Pumps, filtration and disinfection are sized to the unit's flow demand so water clarity and hygiene are maintained through peak attendance, and all wetted components are selected for corrosion resistance in continuously chlorinated water.

Safety and Compliance

Lazy River is designed and manufactured in accordance with GB 8408-2018 (Safety Code for Large Amusement Devices), GB/T 18164-2020, GB/T 18168-2017 (General Technical Conditions for Water Amusement Facilities) and TSG 71-2023 (Safety Technical Regulations for Large Amusement Devices). Haisan holds the manufacturing and installation licences required for large amusement devices, and every unit passes in-factory testing and on-site commissioning before handover.

Delivery and Support

Haisan supplies Lazy River as part of a full-process package covering concept and layout design, structural calculation, manufacture, shipping, on-site installation, plumbing and electrical works, commissioning, operator training and long-term after-sales support. Because equipment is engineered in modules, delivery and installation can be phased to match the park's construction programme.
