Wuhan Urban Construction Kaiyuan Senbo Resort (武汉城建开元森泊度假乐园) is a flagship hotel-resort and water park complex located by Houguan Lake, adjacent to the 4th Ring Road Sino-French City entrance in Wuhan, Hubei, China. The project was developed by Wuhan Urban Construction Group, operated by Kaiyuan Senbo, and supplied with water park equipment by Guangdong Haisan Amusement Technology (Haisan), a China-based water park equipment manufacturer and supplier.
The resort covers approximately 703 mu (about 469,000 m²) of ecological landscape, represents a strategic investment of 2.2 billion RMB (approximately USD 305 million), and was officially opened to the public on June 13, 2025, becoming the largest all-weather, all-season water park destination in Central China.
Haisan provided a complete water park equipment package for Wuhan Urban Construction Kaiyuan Senbo Resort, covering water park equipment design, manufacturing, and installation for both the indoor heated water park and the outdoor themed water park. Haisan's scope also included thematic landscape elements for the indoor Crystal Palace space and the outdoor Tahitian village setting, supporting year-round operation in Wuhan's humid subtropical climate.
The 10,000 m² indoor water park is designed for four-season operation at constant temperature. Its signature attraction is the Super Magic Space-Time Combination Slide, a seven-slide complex where seven individual flumes weave through themed walls, allowing single-rider flyers, double racing tubes, and four-person rafts to share one compact footprint.
The indoor park also features a 207-meter Human Body Direct-Slide Extreme River, the first of its kind in Central China. A Crystal Palace-themed interior introduces tropical plantings, an Infinity Pool, an artificial wave pool, and a Jasmine Slide, allowing guests to surf and slide in summer heat or in winter conditions.
The 18,000 m² outdoor water park recreates a Tahitian tropical village with beach, forest, and island settings. Its center is a 1,800 m² Super Volcano Wave Pool equipped with a top-tier sound system.
The flagship thrill ride is the Interstella Spiral Slide + Giant Wave Rolling Slide Combination, a dual-track pairing that combines a 20-meter vertical drop on the Interstella Spiral with the high-speed launch, twin-board lift, and sudden plunge of the Giant Wave Rolling Slide. Surrounding attractions include Magic Slides and a Time-Space Shuttle visual experience, plus a Board Surfing Pool that lets riders stand or lie on a board to simulate ocean surfing.
A multi-age Water House provides interactive play with smart water features and tipping-bucket water effects. Adjacent to the thrill rides, the resort also offers an infinity-style pool, an artificial wave pool, and curated leisure decks.
All core rides — the Super Magic Space-Time Combination Slide, the Interstella Spiral Slide + Giant Wave Rolling Slide Combination, the 207-meter Human Body Direct-Slide Extreme River, the Super Volcano Wave Pool, Board Surfing Pool, Water House, and Magic Slides — were designed, manufactured, and factory-tested by Haisan before shipment to site.
Haisan also handled on-site installation, commissioning, and themed finishing for the indoor park and the outdoor park, coordinating with the developer and operator to bring the resort from construction to its June 13, 2025 public opening.
Wuhan Urban Construction Kaiyuan Senbo Resort is positioned as the first flagship one-stop resort of Kaiyuan Senbo in Central China. The resort is expected to receive more than 560,000 visitors per year and fills a long-standing gap in high-end family-stay offerings in the Wuhan market.
The project demonstrates how Haisan's combined indoor and outdoor water park equipment, four-season design capability, and theme integration can be delivered at large scale for hotel-resort developments in China.
