Shunde OCT Happy Coast PLUS Water Park (顺德华侨城欢乐海岸PLUS水公园) is the water park component of the Happy Coast PLUS district in Shunde, Foshan, Guangdong, China. The district was developed by OCT Group, and Haisan supplied water park attractions for the project as a China-based water park equipment manufacturer and supplier.
The district covers approximately 150,000 m² and opened in 2019. It is located in the Golden Triangle of the Greater Bay Area, within Shunde's CBD and next to Shunfeng Mountain Park, the city's “green heart”.
Haisan supplied water park attractions for the district's water park, integrating the ride and water play programme into an urban resort layout where the water park shares its setting with retail, dining, cultural and residential functions.
Since OCT Group broke ground in 2013, the district has developed into a comprehensive city centre that brings together culture, tourism, entertainment, leisure, retail, business, ecology and residential living in a single location — a model that positions the water park as one attraction within a year-round destination rather than a standalone seasonal site.
The water park contributes the district's main summer water programme, with slide and water play attractions sized to serve a high volume of city-based visitors arriving from the surrounding CBD and wider Greater Bay Area catchment.
Water park attractions for the district were engineered and manufactured by Haisan and installed as part of the wider Happy Coast PLUS construction programme ahead of the 2019 opening.
Happy Coast PLUS demonstrates how a water park can be embedded in a mixed-use urban district, extending the visitor season and giving the surrounding commercial and residential development a major leisure anchor. Its scale has made it a landmark project in the Greater Bay Area.
